COMPLAINANT: Husband
CASE: Wife is a bad cook and her job doesn't allow her to feed husband as often as he wants. So husband decides to do cooking for himself so that at least he can eat frequently and enjoy his meals. Wife is quarrelling heavily with him and has gone as far as reporting him to family members. Her point is that it's her job as a woman and as a wife to cook for her family. Husband says he doesn't dispute that but that he just enjoys cooking (which really is not entirely true. It's just that he doesn't want to hurt her feelings).
NHW VERDICT: To Husband, all I can say is that you have to come out openly and explain to her why you have decided to do the cooking. Then try and rub minds with her as to how you can help improve her cooking skills. This is a good form of communication and positive and creative criticism because culturally, the kitchen is owned by the woman.
To you wifey, rather than fight to get your point across, get to the root of the problem by asking a simple (but sometimes complex) "why?". Keep asking the "why" in different calm ways until your spirit accepts the final answer.
*But women are funny, man says he wants to be cooking and you are arguing. Instead of you to give him menu!* *wink*
